About Quinn

I am a dedicated piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, helping students achieve their goals in ABRSM, Rockschool, and university-level piano. I hold a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA or equivalent), which has shaped both my performance and teaching approach. I am passionate about unlocking each student’s creative and technical potential, whether they are just starting or preparing for advanced exams. In my lessons, I focus on building strong technique, musical understanding, and confidence at the keyboard. I guide students through sight-reading, improvisation, and expressive interpretation, ensuring they enjoy every step of their learning journey. I adapt my teaching to each individual, combining structured practice with creative exploration. I enjoy helping students discover the connection between theory and performance, showing how scales, chords, and harmony bring music to life. Beyond exams, I encourage personal expression and artistic growth. Watching students progress, gain confidence, and fall in love with music is my greatest reward. About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on building strong technique, musical understanding, and a love for playing. I guide students in keyboard technique, including finger strength, agility, and posture, to make playing comfortable and expressive. Ear training is an essential part of my lessons, helping students recognize intervals, chords, and melodies by listening. I also focus on performance skills, teaching students to play confidently in front of others and interpret music with emotion.

I integrate music theory into lessons, showing how scales, chords, and harmony work in real pieces. Lessons include sight-reading exercises, rhythm training, and improvisation to strengthen musical independence. I encourage consistent practice, breaking complex pieces into manageable sections. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, whether they are highly ambitious or exploring piano as a hobby.
