Math is traditionally taught in a one-size-fits-all formula that emphasizes algebra over geometry and analysis over visualization. Some students struggle with the traditional approach, because they need to understand the bigger picture and meaning of what they are being asked to do. Everyone can benefit from understanding the big picture and purpose behind doing math, because doing so helps transfer information into long-term memory, instead of forgetting how to do most of it a month or two after a test!

About the lesson

Learning to visualize mathematical expressions is the key to unlocking an intuitive understanding of mathematical ideas.

By utilizing visual diagrams and stories that connect math vocabulary to meaningful stories, you will learn math in a way that is not only easier, but more likely to stay in your long-term memory months or years after you finish your course.
