"Grades are rarely the best indicator of actual economic intelligence. My motivation for teaching stems from the reality that most students confuse memorization with comprehension.
Having taught 165 students, I notice the same gaps in diagram drawing and macroeconomics every single time. My background includes 13 years in the Sydney fintech sector where market failure and fiscal policy were daily realities. I enjoy watching a student finally grasp the nuances of international trade and supply and demand. It is genuinely rewarding to see the lights turn on."
