About Natalie
Reading tabs, blues progressions, and complex fingerpicking patterns form the bedrock of my musical life. The calluses on my fingertips feel like old friends after 13 years of gigging across the American South. My BM in Popular Music from USC provided the theory, but playing in small venues taught me how to actually hold an audience. I have spent years guiding students through grade exam prep while balancing the grit of lead guitar work.
Rhythm guitar technique often gets overlooked, yet I make sure it remains a priority. My teaching style grew out of open mic regulars asking how I constructed my specific sound. Having taught 100 students, I recognize that technical skills like ear training must stay grounded in actual songs.
