About James
I am a recent graduate of the University of York, achieving a first with distinction and an overall average of 91% in my masters degree. I was awarded the prestigious P B Kennedy award for Outstanding Performance in the final degree examination in Mathematics.
I enjoy teaching others and helping to build their knowledge of maths and the sciences. I have years of experience tutoring my peers through A-level and degree level mathematics, most of whom graduated university with first-class honours. I am patient and understanding of the process of learning.
Recently, I have been studying the latest GCSE, A-level and selected degree papers to better understand the barriers to learning that often lead to students becoming held back in their progression.
I aim to give my students the confidence and skills they require to excel within their field at any stage of education. I am passionate about what I do and hope to help others to feel the same way.
