About Shirlee
Integrating memorization techniques into daily practice is where I start, building from pop and contemporary styles. My focus remains on scales and arpeggios because they underpin all technical clarity in piano performance. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music, I have spent 8 years refining these core methods.
Developing consistent habits helps students navigate complex arrangements with ease. I maintain a methodical approach to chord voicing to ensure the music sounds rich and professional. Teaching remains a constant pursuit for me, balancing technical rigor with the simple joy of creating music.
