About Irina

I’m a BA Honours graduate in French. I have been giving French private lessons since high school. I tutored my classmates and other students interested in learning and raising their grades in French at university. I raised students’ grades by 20%. I went to La Réunion on a study exchange trip, where I perfected my accent, and made many French friends. I also taught English as a foreign language and French in Madagascar, a French-speaking ex-colony. I’m friendly, communicative, professional, patient and use interactive games and conversations in my lessons! I will explain grammar without boring you! You will have fun learning French with me and will begin speaking like a native in a few months!

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is communicative, affective, and constructive. The first lesson is free to establish the student’s level. The following lessons are built on where the student is in his learning journey. I communicate with the student in English and French to make him/her less anxious in speaking in French. I introduce captivating lesson topics and use personalised conversation activities to tailor the lesson to the student’s likes and dislikes, and maintain interest and participation. Students feel motivated and encouraged to talk in French. I inspire them to become independent inquirers by letting them pick a topic to investigate, talk and write about in French.

I know Irina from long time.
She had a very good English and French languages skills.
She did BA with Honors in South Africa and after this she taught English and French in Madagascar and Europe
I'm a doctor and my English language is not so good, but Irina improved my English skills, doing interactive teaching.
