About Weng I

I'm Bonnie, and I'm from Macau. I love teaching and enjoy the process of sharing knowledge. It brings me joy to spark children's curiosity and see their growth, which gives me hope for the next generation. Students often say they want me as their teacher because my classes are fun and interactive. I have four years of teaching experience, six months of lecturer experience, and certification as an environmental educator in Taiwan.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I guide students to think critically by asking questions like, "What’s the difference between A and B?" and "Why is the answer A instead of B?" When it comes to math, I ask, "What’s the process for solving this problem?" and "What should we do if the question is too difficult?"

For homework help, I offer an online service that caters to the needs of students and parents. I provide online communication to help them clarify their issues and offer detailed explanations and guidance. This approach is not only convenient but also keeps students engaged and proactive in their learning.

My teaching philosophy is straightforward: when facing a test, I directly ask students what they don’t understand, allowing them to explain their confusion. I quickly grasp their issues and identify areas for improvement by observing their problem-solving records and notes. In short, spotting gaps in understanding is my strength, and I patiently explain until students fully grasp the concepts. I don’t rush; I ensure that students truly understand each concept.

Let me share a success story: I had a sixth-grade student who found math tests too challenging and struggled to understand the lessons, resulting in failing grades. Two days before a test, she sought my help for about 10 hours of math tutoring. Luckily, she was smart and eager to learn, which allowed me to clarify her confusion about math concepts. As a result, she improved by at least 30 points on that test. Six months later, she no longer dreaded math, consistently scored well on tests, and told me how much she enjoyed my math lessons.
