I’m a second year Astrophysics student at the University of Alberta. I’ve recently started doing paid tutoring, but I have ample experience helping friends and family with their schoolwork. I want to become a Professor, so honing my teaching skills is something I take seriously.

I like to teach students to learn for the sake of understanding as opposed to passing tests. I do this by ensuring they have a firm conceptual grasp on a topic before I teach them (for example) “tricks” to solve problems quickly in an exam situation. This ensures they’ll come out of a course with both a solid grade and more substantiated knowledge on the given topic.
