About Winnifred
As an engineering student, I have a strong academic background in mathematics and physics, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I have professional tutoring experience, and so I have been on both sides of the learning process.
I fully understand the experience of being a student struggling in a certain subject and so students can expect a tutor who is patient, approachable, and fully committed to their progress.
My goal is not only to help them achieve better results, but also to develop confidence, independence, and a deeper understanding of the subject.

My approach as a tutor is centered on building strong conceptual understanding before moving into problem-solving. In math, chemistry and physics, students often struggle not because of complexity, but because foundational ideas are unclear. I focus on breaking concepts down into simple, intuitive steps and connecting them to real-world examples whenever possible.
First, I assess the student’s current understanding.
Then, I explain concepts clearly using visuals, analogies, and step-by-step reasoning.
Finally, I reinforce learning through practice and discussion, encouraging students to explain ideas back to me.
I offer lessons for:
Middle school to high school students (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus basics, general chemistry and physics)
Early university level (calculus, linear algebra, mechanics, basic electricity & magnetism)
Exam preparation (standardized tests, school exams, problem-solving practice)
