I have a workbook with summaries + exercises. I use power-points for each unit and usually do problems on the board. I also like to integrate videos in the powerpoints. I have found that integrating short films and videos in my lectures to demonstrate three dimensional concepts has worked really well to teach abstract chemistry concepts.

I also give them more by adding insight; so that they see how it relates to the world around them. I also give examples of applications of what they're learning.
