About Eric

I have been a professional teacher for 5 years. I have taught all subjects at an elementary level. I am passionate about creating a strong connection with any child I work with. "People do not care what you know until they know that you care" is a motto I live by. I think building a positive relationship with a student is the first step to successfully teaching them.

I am certified to teach K-6 with a specialization in Social Studies. I am capable of teaching any subject from K-6 and Middle School Social Studies.

About the lesson

1. Getting to know them - find common ground between myself and the student, something we share in common. Find out what they enjoy to do and also what they do not enjoy doing.

2. Build confidence - get the student feeling successful and confident. Lots of praise and positive reinforcement.

3. Work slowly - ease into challenging work and lots of rewards.
