About Kira
Hello! I am currently pursuing a Master's of Education in Mathematics, and I run a company called KSon Tutors, with 4 years of tutoring experience under my belt.
I specialize in Mathematics and SAT Prep. I've taken Calculus 1-4 and scored a 5 on the AP Calculus AB test in high school. I've also studied the SAT extensively, having worked and trained with The Princeton Review for several months and scored a 1480 in high school.
I try to combine a holistic and socratic approach to my instruction. Getting the right answer is great, but understanding why the answer is right, how the material really works, and being able to replicate that result reliably is even better. I also prioritize the human side of learning: mitigating test anxiety, building good study habits, and developing strong test-taking strategies.
