My years of experience in the field of education, as both a student and teacher, have afforded me the ability to understand both sides of the coin. As a teacher, I know how important it is for students to have the ability to synthesize ideas and advance in their education. As a student, I understand that sometimes… that’s easier said than done. As an elementary school teacher, I have the privilege to teach from a foundational level. Meaning, I believe that students must first understand “why?”before they advance on to other disciplines. My lessons are geared towards finding the root cause of misunderstanding, to ensure knowledge gaps are closed. Once a strong foundation is built, your knowledge will be extended and challenged through practice and review.
