About Craig
I graduated from Rutgers University summa cum laude with degrees in biological sciences and psychology and I am a current 4th-year medical student in the top 10% of my class. My goals as a tutor are to be a reliable resource who can adapt to the tutoring needs of students. I approach teaching with the philosophy of valuing understanding over memorization and providing the tools to consistently achieve mastery of content.

I began teaching/tutoring during my junior year of college when I was brought on as a physics learning assistant. As a part of the learning assistant program, I received a course in pedagogy where I learned valuable teaching skills and study habits such as utilizing open ended questions, concept mapping, memory palaces, and mnemonics. I have continued to utilize these strategies while providing tutoring sessions to my peers in medical school. Additionally, I have developed test-taking strategies that I would be excited to share with my students to improve testing capabilities. My tutoring can be structured for any level of learner and my goals are the same, to deepen understanding on concepts, improve test-taking ability, teach the tools to improve retention, and increase confidence in my students.
