  • 1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I started at 10 years old and, years later, began doing Photo Journalism back in Colombia. I created different styles and realized that I love having memories that remind me of those happy moments.
  • 2) Which artists or works affect you the most?

When I first started taking portraits, it was difficult to determine each person's attributes.
  • 3) What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

Understanding the conversation with the objects and the space challenged me to understand photography differently, not only for landscaping or macro photography but for the interaction with the surroundings.
  • 4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

I want you to please be sure to believe in your process. Please don't compare yourself with others. They are not you. Remember what matters when you want to capture a moment. In the end, failing is part of success, and it's better to fail than never have failed because failure hurts more when you are not prepared for it.
  • 5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

Passion requires feeling grateful to be alive. No matter what you do in life, you dedicate your acts to feeling and existing, and with photography, I have the opportunity to save those moments, so I will never forget them in my present. If I wake up one day in the future, I will probably recognize those past moments through photos I have taken.
  • 6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

Product photography for brands is the most enjoyable part of my job, and I have won various awards for the success of the production and preparation. Also, headshots that become branding content for social media and thumbnails for different audiences make my job recognized; even though I can't mention the projects for copyrights and respecting brand policies, I am proud of the large-scale use of my work.
  • 7) Have you ever been surprised by a student, by their ability or quick progression?

Of course! The style of a photographer is always a unique ability that allows them to elevate their potential, especially in the field they decide to work on, such as portraits, Macro Photography, Landscapes, and wildlife; the use of the concepts and the ability to enhance photos during the learning curve. I'm proud of all my students, and as I always say "I give you the tools, you do your magic".
  • 8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

Love what I do, and make sure you motivate the resilient ones to continue with the process and become what they came to meant to be.
