About Ethan
I am a student in Exeter’s Biosciences department employing skills in statistics and related mathematical approaches. I thoroughly believe that every student is capable of a high level of mathematical understanding under the correct pacing and provided confidence. Unfortunately, with the fast-paced, generic style of teaching common to maths, many students fall behind and lose confidence. I cater my teaching to the individual student and hope to positively impact the learning of students.

I tend to demonstrate the purpose and functionality of the topic at hand therefore exposing the concept in a more memorable way. I will then work through a few exam questions explaining at the students pace each step and checking against the mark scheme to show patterns in the mark schemes. I will then offer a few exam questions and help the student through and mark in front of the student so advice can be immediately given and understood, ironing out any misunderstandings or mistakes.
