About Kayla
I have 6 years of experience teaching guitar and ukulele to beginners and intermediate students. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Oregon, where I studied instrument training and teaching methods.
I have helped students become confident players and enjoy music learning. I received a String Instrument Teaching Excellence Medal for my beginner-friendly teaching style. I am known as a friendly and supportive tutor who explains everything clearly.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures, which brings fresh energy and ideas into my teaching.

I teach guitar and ukulele in a simple and practical way so students can start playing music quickly. I begin with basics like posture, chords, and strumming patterns, and then guide students into song playing and rhythm development. I also introduce styles like rock, blues, and acoustic playing depending on student interest.
For ukulele, I focus on making learning smooth and enjoyable while building strong rhythm and chord understanding. I also help students who want to sing while playing, which improves coordination and confidence. Together, we’ll make a subject you enjoy.
