Experiences:
I have both private tutoring and group lesson experiences for five years to students at all ages in both public school settings (elementary schools) and private language cram schools. I've helped students to achieve their goals at TOEIC, TOEFL ITP, GEPT (Taiwan), and their school English exams.

I also have done teacher training for Taiwanese college students and teachers in China.

On weekdays, I am now currently helping students in the Modern Language Center at King's College London with their Chinese oral skills on weekdays.

Qualifications:
-Cambridge Celta English teaching certificate
-TCSOL certificate (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages)
-MA in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching at King's College London

About the lesson

I am now currently an MA student in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching at King's College London. With around 5 years of teaching experiences in Taiwan and Thailand, I have been teaching general English/News English/English exam lessons and etc., both private-tutoring and group lessons to over 1000 students at various ages. I hold a Cambridge Celta English teaching certificate and a TCSOL Chinese-teaching certificate. Currently, I am also helping students in the Modern Language Center at King's College London with their Chinese oral skills. Furthermore, I also have experiences training both college students in Taiwan to teach English and teachers in China to use the teaching materials my company designed.

I am now based in London, Stratford, and would like to teach general and exam lessons in English and Chinese, but students can always negotiate what they would like to learn.

Students' learning needs, goals, and learning style always come first, and the methodology I use is a mixture of communicative language approach, test-teach-test, and text-based approach which will not only focus on training linguistic forms and accuracy but also fluency and communicative competency. I like to help students discover learning and practice by themselves instead of just giving them a lot of inputs.

Students can negotiate the contents of the lesson, time and space that the lessons will be carried out. It can be one-on-one or more. Each lesson would at least be two hours, but it's negotiable if the location is near my area.

General English lessons:
A2-B1 level (20 pounds/hour)
B1-B2 level (25/hour)
B2-C1 level (30/hour)

English exam lessons
40 pounds/hour up

General Chinese lessons
20/hour

Chinese exam lessons
30/hour

If the class is delivered in Central London, there will be a charge on travel fee at 2 pounds. If you're based in or come to the area near Stratford Station, no charge.
