About Tamera
Walking into my first classroom 5 years ago, I realized how quickly math can become a source of confusion. I saw students staring at equations like they were written in a foreign language. Helping these individuals find clarity became my main focus.
Over the last 5 years, I have worked with hundreds of students ranging from middle schoolers to college students. My MS Applied Mathematics degree from Arizona State University provides the rigor I apply to every single problem.
I prefer a steady pace where we clear up confusion before moving ahead. Algebra is just a sequence of logical steps.
My classroom time and one-to-one work showed me that practice makes the abstract feel concrete. We solve plenty of examples during our time together.
My method shifts the burden from the teacher to the student. Eventually, you stop needing me to solve the next line. I prefer to keep things simple.
