About Casey
Throughout the years, I have volunteered in my son’s classes from pre-K to eighth grade. I enjoy getting to know each student, and focusing on our well-being before approaching any projects. I do not single out any one student or make anyone feel like they can’t speak up at the same time. I want each student to feel a level of comfort and engagement that improves their overall confidence in interacting socially.

I like to make very responsible messes! As a multimedia artist in a lifelong practice, my love for many mediums and modes of creation persists. I enjoy creating with others and incorporating new media and methods that foster creativity and self awareness. My main focus in my personal practice right now is oil painting and charcoal drawing, I would love to relay some of this knowledge to students.When I teach, I like to lay out basic formulas that demystify the act of creating, lessening the intimidation factor of starting a new art project. Many young people assume that they lack talent in this area, therefore having lost interest, or given up on the subject. I am also very familiar with Adobe applications, specifically Photoshop and illustrator. Tools and methods within this type of media can be introduced and used to illustrate ideas. characters, settings, etc.
