About Gauthier
After obtaining my baccalaureate in 2014, I entered Decorative Arts in Paris from which I graduated in June 2019. While learning applied arts tools (Adobe suite, CAD, woodworking and polymers, textiles, etc.) I developed a fine-art practice that combines image and volume. Currently in post-diploma at the Center for Artistic Interventions and Partnerships (CEPIA, Beaux-Arts de Bourges), I was recently admitted to a research-creation PhD program (delayed due to health crisis).
It is this technical, plastic, human (but also theoretical and cultural) baggage that I propose to share with you !

My courses address various profiles. From people practicing for pleasure to more the more experienced - including students wishing to join an art school -, you are welcome !
During our first exchange, I will take the time to get to know you, to see your previous work if there is any and to understand what you want to deepen or discover.
If you have a specific goal (application, interview, setting up of a portfolio), we will prepare a series of sessions depending on the progress of your project and your expectations.
Whatever your project, the goal will be to stack the odds in your favour while keeping your desires in mind. Because desire is an essential driving force for learning and opening your eyes!
Indeed, the constitution of an portfolio does not involve only technical excellence (if so, why integrate a school?). It is above all about sharing a gaze : a curious and sensitive one, both wide and precise.
Then, what do we mean by “personal portfolio” ? How to set it up ? What place do “references” occupy ? How to show it, present it ? So many questions I asked myself and that we’ll answer together.
We will be able to vary both mediums (drawing, volume, photography and video, digital tools, editing ...) and knowledge (cultural and artistic references, presentation of the work) ! Outdoor sketches, observation drawing, perspective, proportions - but also discovering new tools, shifting from image to volume and back to image again ... anything is possible !
