About Meghan
I am currently in school and have about a year and a half until I finish my BA in Elementary Education. I have 3 years experience working with a variety of students. Last year I had to the opportunity to teach 8th grade and this year I have gotten to assist in a 5th/6th grade classroom. It is truly amazing to watch young students grow and accomplish what they set out to do. I grew up in Fallon, NV and have had the opportunity to travel and gain many experiences with education.

The way that I would approach a lesson, no matter what subject, is to first become organized. Having a calendar and setting goals for yourself. The goals don't have to be related to school they are personal goals that we will strive to accomplish by the end of the year. For example, getting an A in Math. After that I would look at the school schedule and we would plan out the year on a calendar. This calendar would be shared with the parents/guardians and always checked on before the start of each lesson. Communication is crucial to be successful in the classroom and life in general. I would make sure to communicate weekly with students and parents/guardians.
