About Jessica
I am a graduate in the area of Study. I have also earned my Associates of Arts Degree where I perfected my skills in these areas: Communication, Public Speaking, Writing, Reading & Interpreting Literature, Live Theatrical Performance, Dance & Acting.
I have years of experience where I utilized my skills in the area of communication and public speaking. I have spoken to many people in person and also on the phone with non-profit organizations and profit organizations.
I have years of experience working with many different TV and Film productions as an Actor and Crew Member. I have also been a Producer and Director of my own projects. I have worked in this field in the US in the state of California, New York, New Jersey, & Florida. I have also worked in this field in parts of South Africa & the United Kingdom.
I have more experience working with children, however I have also helped adults. From my certification in the area of Study, it's easy for me to locate barriers my students are running into and how to resolve them. If my student is dozing off or is flustered, I can understand why that is and what to do to help resolve it fast (as an example). I have knowledge behind my belt to prevent odd manifestations and frustrations in the area of study. My students tend to enjoy their studies more because I have the knowledge to help prevent those things from developing.
I have been a Teacher's Assistant at a private school where the primary focus was helping children with their reading & to ensure they understood the words they were reading. I have also been a YMCA after school leader where I helped up to 65 kids at a time with a few other leaders. I helped them with their homework. The main focus was helping with their reading & math problems. I have also been a nanny & babysitter where the parents of the children wanted me to help them with their school work.

The approach I would take when working with you as a student is to fully understand what you are running into and what I can do to work with you to resolve what you are running into.
I will not be interested in working on things that you feel you do not need help on. I will want to focus on what you feel you need help on. I will ask you what things are confusing to you with your studies and we will figure out together where the confusion stems from and do something about that confusion.
I am good at being able to spot where confusions are coming from and to help my student feel more confident with their studies as a result. It's all about making sure you feel more confident, competent and happy after working with me.
Education should be fun and enlightening. It should not be something that makes one not want to read or study. I want to help you so you enjoy learning even more.
Too many students don't enjoy their studies. I am there to change that. I want to ensure you feel you can apply what you learn and there is a purpose behind what you learn. I want you to think with the data and be able to apply it to life somehow to better your life and others' lives around you. That is my approach. I am looking forward to helping you.
