About Jordan
I hold an M.S. in Physics from UCF and have five years of tutoring experience across high school and university levels. As a former TA in astrophysics and lab courses, I designed “Stargazers & Simulations,” a weekend workshop series where students build Python tools to visualize celestial motions. I publish interactive Jupyter notebooks and host monthly “Physics & Pizza” gatherings, fostering collaboration and curiosity. My teaching philosophy focuses on building strong conceptual foundations, then layering on coding and problem-solving practice—empowering students to approach complex topics with confidence and enthusiasm.

I introduce astrophysics via real-data analysis of stellar spectra and exoplanet light curves, strengthen quantitative physics with interactive Python PDE solvers, clarify fundamental science—mechanics, wave optics, basic electromagnetism—through lab experiments, and unravel thermodynamics (entropy, free-energy calculations, Maxwell relations) with interactive simulations. We also explore other science breakthroughs—quantum computing overviews and novel materials—through case studies. Lessons blend conceptual discussion, code-driven exploration, and problem sets modeled on AP and collegiate exams.
