About Ella
I graduated in 2019 achieving dux in human biology, global studies and religious studies. Following school, I was accepted into the ANU Bachelor of Health Science in which I have achieved consistent High Distinctions. In 2022 I received entry into the ANU Doctor of Medicine and Surgery Program. Alongside pursuing a career in medicine I am passionate about children’s education with experience in both the charity and private sector. I have four years of experience tutoring primary, high school and college students in English, international relations and science both privately (4 years) and as an employee of an independent college in Canberra (3 years). I work with a diverse range of students including children from English as a Second Language background. I also offer lessons in time management, CV-building, foundational skills such as essay writing and can provide advice to students looking to study medicine.

I tailor my lessons (1-2hrs) toward students' specific needs, goals and assessments during the period. Typically I will request a course outline for the subject so I can come prepared each week with materials complementary to what they are learning in class. My approach consists of chatting with the student to understand their concerns/goals, teaching content and finally creating examples/ questions we can go through together to see if there are any gaps left in their knowledge. I know learning can be overwhelming at times so I bring a friendly and mindful approach to lessons.
