About Ava
Hi! I’m Ava, an honors student and competitive golfer. I’ve had success both in school and coaching younger golfers, and I love helping kids learn and grow. I naturally connect well with younger children and enjoy watching their confidence build as they improve. My goal is to make learning fun, encouraging, and something every student can feel good about. I’ve always enjoyed learning and have found success academically by being organized, detail-oriented, and willing to put in the work. I’m a fast learner with a patient teaching style, and I enjoy breaking concepts down into simple, easy-to-understand steps so students can build confidence along the way.

Learning doesn’t have to be stressful! As an honors student who is almost 16, I know what it’s like to feel stuck. I offer one-on-one virtual & in-person tutoring in all subjects for grades K-9. I recently earned a 4 on the AP Human Geography exam, and I’ve achieved Mastery on every STAAR exam I’ve ever taken. Personally, I think it’s extremely important to genuinely understand the topic and so I strive to create a connection with each individual student to make their learning experience as engaging as possible. My goal is to help students walk into the classroom with confidence, become more well-rounded, and end class feeling proud and accomplished.
