About David

I am a photographer and journalist working both in the UK and internationally in paces such a Myanmar, Russia, Gaza, Lebanon and Egypt. My work is regularly recognised through awards, exhibitions and publications in leading outlets such as The Guardian, BBC, Aljazeera English, Then economist amongst many others.

Currently I am studying part-time for an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary photography at London College of Communication.

Previously I have given many talks and workshops on photography as well as leading workshops in photography and journalism across the world.

I am dedicated, patient and a strong communicator and love to share my knowledge and experience.

About the lesson

As an experienced tutor and workshop leader, I will be able to assist you at any stage of your photography development. Whether this be work for GCSE, A level, college course or relevant BA studies or for personal development.

I can give lessons regarding contextual and theoretical studies, or help with the technological side of things alongside helping you with your projects, pictures and developing a portfolio.

To summarise what I can offer:

- Help with studies related to GCSE to BA level and/ or personal photographic development.
- Can help with any style or genre of photography.
- Good knowledge of the history and theory of photography so can help with contextual studies.
- I can assist with projects, and would love to help photographers develop projects and portfolios.
- Experienced with editing software such as photoshop/ Lightroom.
- Can give technical help to photographers at any stage.

I teach in a relaxed way, working closely with the student to work out our goals and targets from our time together. I understand everyone learns differently and I am able to accommodate this.

I can teach in person, if in London, Sussex, Kent, Surrey however I can also give an equally enriching experience online.
