About Jake
About Me:
I’m a professional portrait and studio photographer with over nine years of industry experience. I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Photography and a Master’s Degree in Fashion Psychology, which shapes my approach to visual storytelling and the psychology behind powerful images.
For the past four years, I’ve run a professional portrait photography studio in Leamington Spa, alongside delivering training and development courses for the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP). My work has received 11+ awards for portraiture, and teaching is a key part of what I do.
I teach students of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced photographers looking to refine their lighting, retouching, and creative direction. My lessons are practical, supportive, and focused on helping you understand why photography works—not just how to use a camera.
My goal is simple: to help you build confidence, develop your creative voice, and create images with impact.
