About Rafael

Rafael Siano has always had a very strong connection with the arts, drawing and writing from an early age, but his contact with music only came in his late teens, when he began studying singing.

In a short time, he participated in music. several theatrical musicals, debuting in 2005 in the title role of 'Al Capone – The Musical'. In this initial phase, he participated for 6 months in a famous singing competition on Rede Record de Televisão, when he started to get recognition.

Formed then industrial designer and having spent a period acting as a voice actor in films and series, he returned to the stage in 2011, playing Uldino in his first opera, Attila de Verdi, at Cia Lírica.

At the same time, he studied theater with Daniel Herz and at the Wolf Maya School of Actors and directed his first authorial show, Sinatra - Eternal Olhos Azuis, in 2017 at the Julieta de Serpa Art and Culture House.

Still in 2017, he received the invitation to his first opera protagonist, Gianni Schicchi, in the homonymous work by G. Puccini, under the direction of Manuel Thomas and conducting by Evandro Rodriguese.

In 2018, as he dived deeper into the operatic universe, he played important roles in the repertoire such as Uberto in La Serva Padrona, Papageno in A Flauta Mágica and Mago Colas in Bastien und Bastienne.

In the same year, I participated or the First Goiânia International Singing Competition, where he won three awards, including the Maestro Joaquim Jaime Prize, for second place for men and the opportunity to revive Uberto and Gianni Schicchi in new productions at the I International Opera Festival in Goiânia.

Still in 2018, he was awarded the Best Male Voice award at the XI Stimulus Contest for Lyric Singers (Carlos Gomes Contest) in Campinas - SP.

In January 2019, he debuted in the title role of Opera by Mozart, Don Giovanni, in reduced editing by the Ópera NUOVO Studio, under the direction of Julianna Santos, and from March of the same year onwards, he became a member of the Ópera Studio of the Fundação Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, under the guidance of Maestro Gabriel Rhein -Schirato.
