About Mathew
Looking for a Private Tutor? My name is Mathew and I graduated college with an ATAR of 97.4 (OP 2) after concluding 2 years of Tertiary study in Specialist Mathematics 1 and 2, Physics, Chemistry, Advanced English and Philosophy. I also have a BSc majoring in Aviation/Mathematics and Statistics.
Whether your child struggles with a subject, or wishes to get ahead of their classmates, I am available to tutor primary, high school and college students along with mature-age students preparing for workplace testing. Sessions can run for as long as deemed necessary by you, the parents. I have previously tutored over a dozen people and I am also happy to tutor any mature age person who may need help in preparation for challenges such as aptitude tests or refreshers needed for the workplace.

My typical teaching method involves getting to know the student or students in the first lesson and determining where the deficiencies in either their knowledge base or the teaching methods they've been exposed to lie. Very commonly students have issues studying or learning due to an incompatibility with the teaching methods they've been provided rather than a lack of interest or effort on their part. After the issue has been identified, it becomes much easier to ensure retention and understanding of course content while focussing on the strengths and reinforcing the weaknesses of each student.

Details
My rate is entirely flexible and is based on what parents/students are capable of affording. I am of the belief that no person should be incapable of accessing appropriate education assistance due to their financial situation and as such my rates are entirely open to negotiation. I have tutored students for anywhere from $10-$150/hr so feel free ask about alternate options.
