About Martha
My teaching career started 20 years ago in a low income school and has continued to grow since then.
I have been giving lessons in person for 17 years and online lessons for three years. I've taught up to 90 students at a time and my students excel in testing outcomes. I have taught reading, math, phonics. science and social studies in both English and Spanish, oops almost forgot Writing. I use lots of hands on approach and one on one. While teaching online is a little different, I believe that online learning is a great tool for the future. The different grade levels that I have taught have been 1-8 graders therefore, I have lots of experience with a large variety of ages and backgrounds. Each student is a new world.

My teaching approach is lots of hands on teaching, differentiated instruction, student centered and high tech. Hands on approach gives the students a more realistic feel to what they are learning and are able to learn while doing the strategy themselves. Differentiated approach is essential in that it targets specific areas that the students may be needing extra help in. I believe in the student approach because the student is in charge of his or her own learning. It then gives the student the responsibility for their own learning. High tech is essential in these times and elevates the student to a much higher way of learning.

Details
I charge 20 an hour whether its English or Spanish. I will set my hours on an individual bases. If there is ever a time of cancellation I will notify the student the day before. The platform that I will use is Google Classroom. There I will upload lessons, times, videos and testing. We will be live for the lessons and will work to promote advancement.
