About Philippe
I left the private sector to become a math teacher. I have always have been passionate about people discovering math through pattern recognition and self-guidance. Having tutored students on and off for over 20 years, I felt that I might better serve by teaching and tutoring on a full-time basis. So here I am.

My teaching method is based on breaking concepts down into smaller examples in order to better understand how they apply to more complex problems. I also like breaking down barriers, as individuals tend to know more than they realize. So, having individuals look at information and explaining what they know even before tackling a problem or concept gives them a sense of control over the information. Very often there is a light bulb moment somewhere in there.
