About Aaron
I am a language teacher (English and Mandarin) as well as a corporate employee - I can teach communication and work-place language, specifically English and Mandarin.
I lived in mainland China for around 10 years, during which time I was teaching English as a foreign language, and also learning Mandarin. I apply the same methods as found in TEFL to instruct communicative Mandarin lessons, and - of course - English lessons.
Standards are based on CEFR.

My lessons are geared toward attaining tangible communication skills, whether they be spoken or written skills. So, for example, rather than going into detailed explanation and translation of complex topics, I prefer to just issue a command using the language of study (L2) and verify comprehension based upon the student's reaction to said command, i.e. "Stand up / 站起来" - if the student then stands up, they have understood the command. I would teach through use of language.
