I’m a Further Education teacher with 2 years’ experience teaching Biology and Health & Social Care in colleges, supporting learners to progress into higher education degree programmes including Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, and more.
I hold a BSc in Healthcare Studies and have clinical healthcare experience, which allows me to explain biology clearly and in a practical, applied way to support your understanding.
I am currently completing my PGCE in Further Education, equipping me with strong, evidence-based teaching and learning techniques.
Lessons are structured and purposeful, typically involving a review of prior knowledge, clear explanation of new content, guided practice using exam-style questions or coursework tasks, and targeted feedback with clear next steps.
My teaching approach is supportive and praise-led, using constructive feedback to help learners recognise what they are doing well and how to improve. I am responsive to individual needs and use my teaching experience to guide students towards exam and assignment success, while building confidence and independence.
I can work across multiple exam boards and have experience with Pearson, NCFE and AQA, tailoring lessons to individual specifications and course requirements.
