About Irene
Find your passion! then... your hard work and dedication. Few individuals get successful without putting in the effort and hard work. I believe you can accomplish anything. When I was a kid, I moved here from the Soviet Union (Yes, Russia and Ukraine were one). I have a Russian mom... who's taught me the true value of education and work ethic. I wasn't an A student in high school, and the science college curriculum (Kalamazoo College) was tough, but I worked hard, studied hard and succeeded. I went on to get my Ph.D. in neurobiology and work in research. But I always came back to teaching. That's my passion. Hope I get a chance to share it with you!

I design lessons to gather knowledge about your understanding of concepts. I try to explain concepts, rather than just details. Test prep is a must, so practicing test questions and multiple choice problems is key for all standardized tests.
I really have a passion for teaching... always have. I've taught 7th graders through graduate students. My Ph.D.is in neurobiology and I've been teaching 15+ years at the high school, college, and university level.
