About Matt
My priority is your learning, and I believe I can share the tools to help you succeed. As a rule, we learn best from those we get along with, so my tutoring style is friendly and personal. We’ll keep discussion on-topic, yes, but I won’t be piling on any more pressure than you’re under already!
Many of my previous GCSE/A level students have improved their band scores, some achieving higher than their predicted grades. I have run GCSE workshops, International Baccalaureate (IB) crash-courses and currently work as part of a larger tutoring company in Leicestershire.

Bored in Biology? Lost in the process of protein synthesis? Can’t retain any of those key words? Exams looming?
I am offering engaging, one-to-one tuition sessions in GCSE and A level Biology (or equivalent). A UCL graduate, a passionate educator, with all the experience to go with it.
Biology is one of those subjects where an uninspiring teacher can lead to ultimate boredom and slipping grades. Here’s the remedy: join me for 1 hour each week (or however often you’d like) for a personalised approach to learning Biology. Whether it’s exam technique you’re struggling with, biological calculations, or recall of those major biological processes in you syllabus, we’ll tackle it together in the way that suits you best.
As a teacher, it’s my job to inspire younger people. I have taught across the world - from Japan to Nicaragua - and currently run online sessions in Singapore and Hong Kong. The world of Biology is universal, and learning its language can be a really fulfilling challenge.
If you’re a visual learner, we’ll fill our sessions with diagrams and colour. If you prefer a more interactive approach, then flashcards and quick quizzes will be our way forward. Movements, songs, videos, analogies; anything to make the subject come alive, and to help you remember the content you need to cover. You’ll be exam ready in no time!
