About Armen
Hi! I'm Armen, a Biomedical Engineering student with a passion for helping students succeed in mathematics and physics. Throughout high school and university, I have built a strong academic foundation in STEM, earning top grades in courses such as Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Physics, while also receiving recognition in the Waterloo Mathematics Competitions.
I have several years of tutoring experience working with elementary, high school, and first-year university students. I also served as a peer tutor through Toronto Metropolitan University, where I helped engineering students succeed in Calculus I, Calculus II, and Linear Algebra.
I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and committed to each student's success. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, build confidence, and develop a genuine understanding of the material. I believe every student is capable of succeeding in math and physics when concepts are explained clearly and in a way that matches their learning style. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after our lessons.
As a Biomedical Engineering student, I have a strong background in mathematics and physics and have experience tutoring elementary, high school, and first-year university students. I have also served as a peer tutor through Toronto Metropolitan University, helping students succeed in Calculus I, Calculus II, and Linear Algebra.
Every student learns differently, so I begin by assessing their strengths and identifying any gaps in their understanding. I then create personalized lessons that break complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. Each session includes concept review, guided examples, and independent practice to ensure students truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing procedures.
I offer tutoring for Grades 7–12 Mathematics and Physics, including Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors, and university preparation.
