About Jay

Through my own academic career I have been in positions in which I have required extra help, and sometimes my experience in school and the support gained from my teachers have not always been positive. Being told that I have not put in the effort and that was why I wasn't doing as well as I had hoped. however I understand that there are other influencing factors that can affect the way you study. Whether that be family circumstances or personal/mental circumstances.

I also understand that learning is not a one size fits all. Meaning that everyone learns in different ways. And that what works for one individual does not work for another. This is why I will adapt my teaching approach to what suits you best. And if we try a learning approach and you decide it is not working with we can change it and find something new :)

I have experience in helping those with special educationsal needs such as autism and learnig dificulties and belive that this should not be a barrier for you education.

Finally I understand the anxiety and stress that comes with studies and want to help in trying to alleviate that.

About the lesson

My teaching style is adaptable to suit your learning style. Ranging from in depth revision sessions on specific topics, help working through exam style questions and help creating revision resources to help with your independent study. Quizzes and handouts will be made available to you. I am also willing to help organise your revision alongside other topics.

I currently hold GCSE's in Mathematics, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I hold an A level in Geography. An Access to HE in Health and Human Science. And am currently finishing my 2nd year of my Biomedical Science degree.

My lessons are for GCSE/A level students. GCSE students needing assistance in Math, English, Science and Geography. And A level students needing assistance with biology.
