About Isabel

I am a student at Boston University who is majoring in cellular and molecular biology and minoring in mathematics. I am part of the Women in Mathematics club, and work as a biology research assistant at a BU lab. I have prior experience working as a teacher's assistant and working with students one-on-one to review content they struggled to understand during class. I love to be part of a student's journey to that magical point where they realize that even though the subject matter is challenging, they can do it!

About the lesson

For middle and high school students who want to build a foundation in calculus, algebra, and STEM. I utilize an understanding-focused approach to learning, with the goal of providing students with information they can not only recall but apply in future classes. I understand that STEM can be hard and patience is essential to my teaching style! My goal is to teach in a way that encourages students to embrace making mistakes, and to love learning STEM.
