About Teleri
Hi, I'm Teleri,
If you're studying psychology in English and it's not your native language I'm here to support you. Whether you need help discussing psychological theories, developing your confidence using psychology terminology in English, or preparing for future work in the field, I can adapt our lessons to what you need.
My approach to tutoring is warm, friendly, supportive and completely non-judgemental. I am a British citizen who's been living, teaching and studying abroad for 8 years and I'm currently completing my Master's degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology.
I have eight years of experience teaching English to children and have personally experienced learning two new languages. I understand that learning in another language can sometimes feel intimidating and asking questions and expressing your ideas can feel challenging. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where you can develop both your psychology knowledge and your confidence communicating in English.

Lessons will be interactive and engaging rather than simply being a lecture. We might discuss psychological concepts, work through examples, practise explaining ideas in your own words, explore academic vocabulary, or have conversations around different areas of psychology. I can also help you practise communicating about psychology in a way that prepares you for university, presentations, assignments or eventually working in the field.
Lessons are typically 50–60 minutes, although I am happy to adapt the structure depending on your needs. I primarily work with students learning psychology in English, particularly those who speak English as a second language.
