About Kathryn
I am currently a senior scientist within the NHS but have come from a quite academic background. I studied for a BSc in Biomedical Sciences before undertaking a PhD in leukaemia research. This enabled me to travel and move to Cambridge where I trained as a Clinical Scientist and also obtained my MSc. During this time, I had the pleasure of working as a visiting scholar at a university in Australia.
My goal is to make education accessible to everyone and to ensure that students can reach their full potential. A classroom environment isn't always the best place to do this, so a more informal, calm and safe place with dedicated one-on-one time may be the answer.

My technique of teaching is much more informal than traditional classroom style. I try to find ways to help students understand using more visual/hands-on methods whilst supplementing this with educational PowerPoints for reference.
Lessons are typically one hour.
I have tutored GCSE/A-level Biology since 2012 and have developed my experience through lecturing at various universities across Northern Ireland and Cambridge.
My lessons are primarily catered towards those students struggling with GCSE and A-level biology who may need a little supplementation and help with revision techniques.
