About Isaac
I’m Isaac, an engineering student at the University of Houston with a strong background in advanced high school math, the IB Diploma Programme, and SAT preparation. I scored a 1400 on the SAT, completed IB Math AA HL, Physics HL, and Economics HL, History HL, Lang Lit HL, Chem SL, and Arabic SL and have several years of experience helping classmates and younger students succeed in their math courses.
I started tutoring in high school through peer-prep study groups, exam review sessions, and one-on-one help for friends who struggled with Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and IB Math. Over time, I developed a clear teaching style focused on simplifying difficult concepts, showing patterns, and helping students build confidence in their problem-solving skills.
Math has always come naturally to me, and I enjoy explaining it in a way that finally “clicks” for students. Because I’m close in age, I understand the exact challenges students face, especially in AP Calc, IB Math, and Algebra courses. I use that to connect with them, explain topics in relatable ways, and help them improve quickly.
Outside of tutoring, I’m passionate about engineering, physics, and technology. I’m always happy to help students with study strategies, exam mindset, and long-term academic planning if they want it.
I genuinely enjoy teaching and seeing students gain confidence in subjects that once felt overwhelming. I respond quickly, work patiently, and am committed to helping every student reach their goals.

Hi! I’m Isaac — an engineering student at the University of Houston with a 1400 SAT score, strong IB experience, and several years of peer tutoring in math, physics, and test prep. I teach AP Calculus AB/BC, IB Math AA HL/SL, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 1, Geometry, and all middle-school math.
My lessons focus on breaking difficult concepts into simple, logical steps so students understand why methods work instead of memorizing them. I use clear explanations, guided examples, and exam-style problems to build both skill and confidence.
AP Calculus (AB & BC):
I teach limits, derivatives, integrals, differential equations, series (Taylor/Maclaurin), parametric and polar functions, and exam strategy for both MCQs and FRQs. My focus is on fast problem-solving methods and avoiding common mistakes that cost points.
IB Math AA HL/SL:
I cover functions, trigonometry, calculus, vectors, complex numbers, probability, and statistics. As an IB Math AA HL student myself, I help students understand markscheme expectations, show them how to earn method marks, and teach efficient ways to handle long IB-style questions.
Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus:
I help with polynomials, rational functions, logarithms, trigonometric identities, sequences and series, and graphing. I focus on building strong fundamentals so students feel confident moving into Calculus.
Algebra 1, Geometry, and Middle-School Math:
I strengthen core skills such as linear equations, systems, basic geometry, factoring, ratios, proportions, and foundational problem-solving. My goal is to eliminate gaps early so students don’t struggle later.
I’ve tutored classmates, underclassmen, and friends through peer-prep sessions, exam review groups, and one-on-one help for years. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and extremely clear — I explain concepts the way I learned them: simple, structured, and easy to remember.
The first lesson is free so we can talk about goals, identify areas to improve, and create a plan together. I respond quickly and am committed to helping every student improve fast.
