About Kayla
I am a patient, supportive, and professional tutor with a strong background in speech pathology, linguistics, autism studies, and TESOL. I help students build confidence in English by focusing on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and everyday communication skills.
My lessons are calm, encouraging, and easy to follow. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and practicing at their own pace. My goal is to help each student feel more confident, prepared, and successful when using English in real life.

My tutoring approach is patient, clear, and supportive. I help students build confidence in English through conversation practice, pronunciation support, vocabulary building, reading, and simple grammar explanations. I like to use real-life topics so students can practice English they will actually use.
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up conversation, then we focus on the student’s goal for the day, such as speaking, reading, pronunciation, or interview practice. After that, we practice together using examples, corrections, and sentence frames. At the end, I review what we worked on and give helpful feedback.
What sets me apart is my background in speech pathology, linguistics, autism studies, and TESOL. I understand how language develops and how to support different learning needs. My lessons are best for beginner to intermediate English learners, students who want to improve conversation skills, and learners who want a calm and encouraging tutor.
