About Jonathan

CELTA-qualified UK English ESL teacher. I’ve taught students ESL and communication coaching around the world for 30 years. I’m trilingual in English (native / clear spoken – neutral accent), Korean, and Chinese (Mandarin), and highly adaptable. I specialize in identifying bad communication habits and providing practical solutions for fast, effective progress. I am goal-focused, reliable, sincere, and clear on my teaching responsibilities. ESL teaching is my profession, and communication is my passion. I combine conventional ESL methodology with mindset-based training to help students build fluency, confidence, and strong English fundamentals. My lessons are structured, personalized, and results-focused, guiding each student to reach their goals efficiently while fostering awareness, presence, and reflection in every interaction

About the lesson

My goal with every student is clear and precise: to guide them toward English fluency and confident communication while meeting their individual goals as quickly as possible. Each student is like a puzzle, presenting challenges I know how to solve from experience and training. While communication has many styles, there are right and wrong ways to express ideas, and I help students implement the correct approaches quickly. I start by identifying your speaking habits from a listener’s perspective, your listening challenges from a speaker’s perspective, and any mindset issues that may slow progress. Once we understand what needs to be addressed, we make targeted adjustments, transform bad habits into good ones, and strengthen your English fundamentals. Throughout, we focus on being present, aware, and reflective in communication until your goals are achieved.
