About Angie

I am a certified K-12 art educator with over 12 years of experience teaching in public schools. I have worked with a wide range of learners and understand how to adapt instruction to meet each student’s needs, abilities, and learning style.

My teaching style is structured, patient, and encouraging. She creates a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, trying new techniques, and building skills at their own pace. My lessons are carefully planned, clearly explained, and grounded in proven classroom practices.

With extensive experience designing curriculum and guiding students through creative challenges, I focus on helping learners develop both technical skills and confidence. I believe that clear expectations, positive reinforcement, and thoughtful feedback are essential to meaningful learning.

Families and students can expect professionalism, reliability, and thoughtful communication. I am committed to providing high-quality instruction that is engaging, age-appropriate, and tailored to each student’s goals.

My tutoring approach is supportive, structured, and creativity-focused, helping students feel confident while building real skills. She believes students learn best when they feel encouraged, understood, and excited to try—even when something feels challenging at first.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a step-by-step, skill-based approach that balances clear instruction with creative freedom. Lessons are broken into manageable parts, with visual examples, guided practice, and time for independent exploration. She emphasizes process over perfection and adapts instruction to each student’s learning style, pace, and interests.

Techniques include:
Demonstration and modeling
Guided practice with feedback
Open-ended questions to encourage creative thinking
Positive reinforcement and confidence-building strategies

Typical Lesson Structure
A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in and review of prior skills, followed by a clear explanation or demonstration of a new concept or technique. Students then practice with Angie’s guidance before working independently. Each lesson ends with reflection, encouragement, and suggestions for next steps or continued practice.
Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing room for curiosity, experimentation, and student choice.

What Sets Me Apart
I am a certified K–12 art teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, so I understands how children learn, how to scaffold instruction, and how to keep lessons engaging without feeling overwhelming. My background allows me to anticipate challenges, adjust in real time, and support students with patience and clarity.

I amespecially skilled at working with students who may feel unsure of their abilities, helping them build confidence while developing strong foundational skills.

My lessons are designed for:
Elementary students
Beginners through intermediate learners
Students seeking extra support, enrichment, or creative confidence
Children who enjoy hands-on, visual, and creative learning

Lessons can support school-based learning, skill development, or creative exploration, depending on each student’s goals.
