Hello, I am a certified Chinese teacher who graduated from a Normal University with a major in Chinese, and I also hold a certificates(NTCE&Putonghua proficiency ) .

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have a passion for teaching and a dedication to helping students overcome their language learning hurdles to successfully master Chinese.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I firmly believe that truly effective language learning stems from its application in real life. Thus, my teaching approach is about finding a balance between theory and practice.
I employ a task-based teaching method where language learning and application happen through the accomplishment of specific tasks related to real-life scenarios. While I do teach grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary, these are all integrated into authentic contexts to enhance learning effectiveness.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson plan with me will begin with a review of the previous lesson's material, followed by a brief discussion of the student's progress and goals. Then, the lesson will focus on new material, which may include vocabulary, grammar, or conversation practice. I will provide clear explanations and examples to help the student understand the new material, and then give them opportunities to practice and use the language in various contexts.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
Setting me apart from many other tutors, I am not just a language teacher, but also a cultural guide. I believe that understanding the cultural background of a language is key to truly mastering it. Thus, I incorporate a great deal of cultural elements into my teaching, helping students to understand and use Chinese in a more profound way.

Pricing is set at $25 per hour for individual lessons. For added value, I offer discounts for lesson packages: a 10% discount for a package of 10 lessons, a 15% discount for a package of 20 lessons plus one free lesson, and a hefty 25% discount for a package of 40 lessons plus three free lessons.

Additionally, if you prefer to learn with a friend, I offer a two-on-one tutoring option at the same price as individual lessons - you and your friend can simply split the cost. For lessons that require specific customizations or have special requests, pricing can be discussed separately.

All lessons will be confirmed via email, and if you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
