About Sergio
11 years of experience practicing taekwondo in different associations. I practiced traditional and competitive taekwondo, and participated in several district tournaments, winning first place in poomsae (forms).
I started as a surrogate teacher at a young age, right before my black belt exam, because I was the student with the highest rank. After my black belt exam I've participated in courses and seminars for teachers, and I've been teaching since.

I focus on the martial part of Taekwondo, remembering that it is a martial art, not a sport. But it does not mean that I put aside the competitive and sporting aspect of it: I also know effective combat and self defense techniques. Many taekwondo techniques (as with many other martial arts) can be used in real life scenarios, and some have to be "tweaked" a little bit for them to work. It is a martial art, however it must evolve. Sure, without losing the tradition.

Group classes: $25/month or $5 per class. At Coyoacán or your place. 4 students minimum.
Individual (in person): $15 per hour. $10 online
Extra costs apply if you would like personal classes at your place, depending on commute distance (non-linear, measured with google maps):
