About Kathryn

I originally began tutoring in New York where I tutored children from kindergarten throughout high school with a focus on math but also some langue arts and science. I tutored three autistic students and five typically developing students. In Georgia I have tutored nine students in only math. Three of them I was with for their duration of their high school career and watched them graduate with no lower than an 83 for some up to a 95 with others. All my students come to me hating math and struggling tremendously. For the ones who have graduated they will tell you they don't love math but they understand it now and can pass the class with good grades. I am currently still tutoring two high school students and a fifth grader. My goal is not to force you to do something you love but to give you strategies to excel to your own potential.

About the lesson

I have my masters degree in literacy from Long Island University in New York. I obtained my bachelors in education at St. Joseph's college in New York. I have tutored math for five years in Georgia with my focus mainly in high school. Have worked with a few middle and elementary students. My goal is to find a students passion and somehow try to relate math in a way that they understand. Each person is unique and individual. Not everyone will love math but I work my hardest to get even someone who hates math to try and understand the concepts with some enjoyment ????
