About Mariam
I'm a movement enthusiast. I believe humans are generalists by nature and that's why I try to build a training practice that touches on different perspectives when it comes to somatic practices. In my experience, being able to learn from different sources of movement has allowed me to improve my perspective on how we relate with our bodies and our surroundings.

I believe in people's will to improve themselves and become more confident in their bodies and how they transit through experiencing life. I like to approach movement from a perspective of play and enjoyment and not as an obligation or punishment. Movement should not be a burdensome task; it should be fun and invigorating, something you should look forward to doing and not just another task to cross out from a list. I like to start progressively introducing mobility practices to engage body awareness and to develop a mindful practice that allows introducing a diversity of movement mostly based on quadrupedal training from different sources like animal flow, yoga, capoeira, dance and a bit of soft acrobatics.
